Jan '23 Amazing wee venue for a nice night away beautiful peaceful and very homely. Colene was great and friendly made you feel at ease and left you to it we will definitely be back to The Hen Hoose!

Dec'23 The Hen Hoose is a truly magical getaway for anyone needing to wind down! The place is as exactly as described and spotless! Colene has thought above and beyond for all the little details! She was amazing! Communicated so well and clear and was a great host! The bed was amazing super comfy and the hot tub was unbelievable! The view and the animals just made the whole thing, amazing! Will definitely be back and can’t wait to recommend the Hen Hoose to everyone!!

Nov'23 We had a wonderful time at The Dairy Parlour. It's very cosy, clean and beautiful home. Even our little girl felt very comfortable and happy there. Farm is very peaceful and picturesque with lots of friendly animals 💞 Our host Colene was amazing- very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend.

Oct'23 Spent an enjoyable few days in the Dairy Parlour while visiting family in the local area. The accommodation was great: all very tastefully done, all the machines and tech working ok, and generous supply of provisions. We all appreciated the quiet rural setting but our toddler daughter was particularly excited to be staying on a farm and to meet the alpacas, horses, chickens etc! Colene a great host, with very clear instructions and communication throughout our stay. Certainly hope to visit again someday!

Sept'23 The Coo Shed residence was a highlight of our trip! Beautiful clean and unique, we adored it and wish we had stayed longer! Colene was friendly, flexible, and welcoming. We even spent a lovely time chatting and she showed my boys around a bit- which they loved. My animal loving kids were overjoyed with alpaca and chickens wandering about just outside our door. A fabulous quiet location option for our travels around Port Glasgow area. Thank you- we will certainly come back if we can return to Scotland again. Highly recommend!

August '23 We had a fantastic stay in the Coo Shed with our dog & 4-month old baby! It had everything we needed for a home-from-home stay whilst visiting family in Erskine. Colene & Scott were both extremely friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to visit nearby towns & Loch Lomond. We'll be back for sure!

July '23 We had a fantastic relaxing stay at The Hen Hoose. It's a beautiful and charming place with everything you need and lots of great places to visit nearby. Colene (and the animals!) made us feel very welcome. We could have sat in the hot tub enjoying the view forever. Couldn't recommend more and we definitely plan to return for a longer stay.

June'23 So glad to have found The Hen Hoose, such beautiful new accommodation. Ideal as it’s not too far from where we live. A great place to get away and just relax. The place is immaculate and has all the amenities you could need. The addition of having a private hot tub area and fire pit was ideal especially in the good weather we had whilst there. It was great to sit out at night. Colene the host was excellent and kept us well informed. Would recommend this place to anyone. Glad we got a booking before it ends up full all the time. I think everyone will love this place.

May '23 The Hen Hoose is adorable. Really beautifully decorated with lots of lovely wee touches. For such a cosy space it has everything you need. Very well equipped. Although located on a farm it is completely private. We didn’t see another person during our stay (although we did enjoy the curious alpacas at the window!). We really enjoyed the hot tub. Colene was a perfect host, lovely welcome and was on hand to answer any questions but otherwise completely unobtrusive. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise. I’m sure we will visit again.

April '23 What a beautiful farm! If you are lucky enough to stay here your mornings will include a view of the wild deer and alpacas lazily laying in the sun. In the evening the spunky chickens will come visit and a talkative cat. The kitchen is stocked with essentials that you may have forgotten, like coffee, tea, milk and butter. There are beautiful touches around the Coo Shed, cute Coo decor and the original stone is exposed in certain areas which really adds to the charm of this place. We are so happy we were able to stay there!

Feb'23 Our stay was absolutely excellent, we couldn't fault the accommodation at all. Everything was clean and looked exactly like the photos, and there was even a wee welcome pack which was very appreciated. The area is so calm and peaceful, but you can also enjoy the farm animals, cats, dogs and chickens which roam about. The dogs are very friendly and love a pat or a game of fetch. The chicken's are also very friendly and want to say hello! Thank you so much for such a lovely stay, you made a special occasion so wonderful!

Jan '23 Had a fantastic 2 nights stay at The Dairy Parlour. everything was perfect. Colene was an amazing host and made the kids stay be taking the time to let them meet the alpacas and horses. thank you so much. Would definitely recommend and hope to return in the future.

Dec'22 A great base for catching up with friends. We had a great weekend in the Coo Shed, the main room with wood burner and open plan kitchen was ideal for cooking and eating together. Coleen was very friendly and responsive to any queries, and the location is perfect for a quiet getaway. Thanks!

Oct'22 We absolutely loved our stain at The Coo Shed. It was very clean, cosy and welcoming. Colene 7 Scott were so kind and the kids loved meeting the Alpacas, feeding the horses and chickens. It was so therapeutic including the red wine and s'mores by the fire pit! thank you, we will be back !

Aug '22 Wee Gem in the countryside - The decor in the cottage was lovely and it was nice t o arrive to a wee box of snacks and fresh milk! Colene & Scott are fabulous hosts , so helpful and accommodating.

June '22 - Colene's Coo Shed is just lovely. Everything is beautiful and comfortable. The beds are super comfortable! The farm is just lovely with beautiful horses, Alpacas and the dogs are so friendly. Colene was a friendly host who took time with our wee girl. We will be back!

May 22- Super stay! We loved the Dairy Parlour's big windows with the views across the open countryside and of course the passing cats, dogs, horses & chickens. everything was immaculate. 

May'22 - What a beautiful hidden gem. Wonderful farm that feels like your own little paradise but at the same time you are only a few minutes down the road to pubs, shops and bakers. We had a wonderful stay, the kids absolutely loved the animals, the barn play area and the tyre swing. The cottage was immaculate and everything was cater for. Thank you for a great stay Colene!

April 22 - Second stay in The Coo Shed. Loved it as much as the first time. Peaceful and very comfortable, perfect base for visiting our local family.

March '22 - Absolutely loved our stay with Colene, Scott and family. They made us feel more than welcome from our lovely basket of treats when we arrived to the extra touches like offering fresh eggs! The Coo Shed was perfect for our family, cosy with beautiful surroundings, animals and play area for children. We cannot wait for our next visit.

Feb '22 - Definitely worth a visit! This place is such a gem and we had an idyllic weekend here with our toddler and dog. The cottage is spotless and cozy, well stocked with cooking utensils, and the view is unbeatable. Our dog and toddler left a fair number of nose prints on the windows of The Dairy Parlour from the excitement of seeing the horses, dogs, alpacas, cats and chickens passing by ! What really sets this place apart are all the personal and thoughtful touches, like milk already in the fridge for us and a basket brimming with delicious treats including eggs from the farm hens, and the time our hosts took to tell us about the farm and even help our toddler feed the alpacas! There are lovely fields to go walking in and the climbing toys were a big hit too, especially since they're in an under covered area. We hope we can return someday! 

Jan '22 - Beautiful location, amazing animals and great host. Great base for us with two young kids to go off and explore outer Glasgow. Loved the alpacas, horses, dogs and chickens. My daughter keeps talking about them !

Dec'21 - Superb house in a beautiful location. Immaculately clean and really welcoming.

Nov '21 - We had a lovely short stay here. Wonderfully clean and the Dairy Parlour is really impressive. Lovely living space and comfy beds. Kids had a fantastic time in the outdoor play area and garden space and animals to see. We'll be back!

Oct '21 - The Coo Shed is a perfect place to stay near Bridge of Weir with lovely walks and great places to eat. Clean, comfortable and very spacious for 4, fine for 5 or 6 if you use the sofa bd. We loved meeting the chickens and the Alpacas. 

July '21 - Great location and fantastic hosts. Our two grandchildren absolutely loved being able to run around in the garden and meet the animals every day. The Coo Shed was lovely and coupled with the garden, the farm made for a very nice stay.

June '21 - The barn conversion was just perfect for our family staycation. Our six and twelve year old girls fell in love with the animals and their surroundings. The house was very clean and well appointed with everything you need for a short or long stay away. It was areal home from home.

August 2020 - We had a fantastic week at the Coo Shed, there is plenty of space and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our boys loved staying on the farm and meeting all the animals, the play equipment in the barn was a real bonus especially in the rain! Colene and her family were so welcoming and helpful with any requests we had. Thank you!

August 2020 - Just returned from a really lovely, peaceful weekend. Accommodation was ready on time and we were very happy with it. Very clean with lots of home from home items. Kitchen had lots of utensils etc and we were happy to see this. The farm was so peaceful and we loved the animals. But most of all, the hosts were great. Always available but not pushy. Super friendly and accommodating, couldn't fault Colene and her family. Book up, you won't be disappointed x

August 2020 - Wow!! Absolutely stunning property! From the decor down to the little touches it was all amazing. It was also immaculately clean and Colene is an amazing host. We felt so well looked after and in such beautiful surroundings. We will definitely be staying again and again!

July 2020 - We absolutely LOVED our experience and time at Colene’s home. The space is large and extra homey. Being on their farm was incredibly relaxing and the farm fresh eggs are the best eggs I’ve ever had in my life. I wish we could have stayed forever!

April 2020 - We stayed here for 2 weeks during the coronavirus pandemic. The family were very friendly and helpful, despite the restrictions. We loved seeing all the different animals each day....brilliant for any horse lovers! We enjoyed walking around the fields and land behind the farm. Close to Kilmacolm, Bridge of Weir and the unique Quarrier's Village. We hope to come back again, minus the global pandemic!!

March 2020 - Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The cottage is clean, cosy and we loved the contemporary decor. Colene and the family are very friendly and helpful. The cottage has everything you could need. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

February 2020 - A lovely place to stay. We arrived late at night in middle of Storm Dennis to find the house warm and welcoming. A lovely house with modern styling but cosy too, particularly with the wood stove. Hosts on hand to help but gave us our space too. We found it to be a great base to explore the local area and Glasgow only a short drive away.

January 2020 - We absolutely loved staying at the Coo Shed! It’s a beautiful location and our son loved visiting the horses and chickens. Everything has been thought through from a guest’s perspective. The lovely villages of Kilmacolm and Bridge of Weir are both fab places to visit and Glasgow is just a thirty minute drive even in rush hour. Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

January 2020 - Had an amazing stay at The Coo Shed, pictures don't do it justice. A beautiful home from home and short of nothing. The little touches make it extra special. Super clean and extremely comfortable. Can praise the place enough and Colene was an excellent Host.
